Creative Fan Of 3D: Drishya Rameshan

My day is made when I get mails from my readers who encourage me that they just love going through my blog and love whatever I share here. I swell with pride when they find my blog inspiring.

One such mail I got from my reader who wanted to share her creative work with us. I saw her work and found it truly inspiring and very creative. Let me introduce you to Drishya Rameshan. She is pursuing MCA and hails from Kerala. Drishya has taken creativity to next level. She makes amazing flower arrangement with dried flowers and leaves, She even makes flowers out of dried leaves. Interesting isn't it.
Below are some images of her work. Have a look as she explains how she did it.

Floral Arrangement
Dried Flower Arrangement
This is the arrangement that I have done with dry arecanut leaves. Just soak the leaves in water for some time , cut into desired shape here I gave the shape of lily, tie them on copper wire and finally color them ,I used italic fabric paint to color the flowers. Arrange all the leaves and flower in some attractive vase or pot and the arrangement will look mesmerizing.

Dried Flower Arrangement
These flowers are made with dry arecanut leaves. All that you need to make this arrangement is some dried arecanut leaves, dried flowers and twigs that you can find easily around you, just give them a coat of beautiful colour and they will look lively.

Here is a small arrangement I made with dry flowers. These roses are made with dry plantain leaves. Just soak the dried plantain leaves in water for some time and cut the leaves into small square shapes and tie them on a copper wire one after the another in a same we make simple roses with paper. Finally after making all  the roses paint them in beautiful colors. Leaves you see in the arrangement are dried palm leaves I cut them  into nice shape and panted with silver color. Finally your arrangement is ready.....low cost arrangement...all you need is dry plantain leaves.

That was very creative Drishya. Thanks for joining us and sharing your creative and inspiring work with us. I wish you a great success ahead.

Fan Of The Week: Bhumika Awasthi Chaudhary

A week ago we met a very talented and creative mind 'Shashwatee Raut' and it's time to meet new talent of the week. Dear readers joining us today is 'Bhumika Awasthi Chaudhary' of 'Paper Passion By Bhumika'She filled my heart with joy when she said that it's all your effect and humbly named it 'The D effect' :)
This is what she shares with us:

Well first of all thanks for having me here on your Blog, its not only because you invited me here but its because you have always been a great source of inspiration for me. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with other talented people around the world. I am a stay at home mom of a three and half year old son, currently I’m in US, I did my MBA, but after coming here in US I had no choice but to stay at home.
I don’t like to sit idle, so I just love to do what keeps me busy and give me inner satisfaction. I know I’m master of none but you can call me jack of all trades. I make jewelry, I do calligraphy and various craft projects.

I was desperate to do something in spare time, while surfing internet I came across a link related to quilling, instantly I felt in love with the simplicity and beauty of the art and that's when I decided that I will try my hand on this.

Here are some of her master pieces.
I’m in love with quilling, especially jewelry, apart from that I believe in reduce, reuse and recycle, so I use all those stuff that is considered useless or trash like tissue roll, old plastic bottles, boxes etc.
She made these beautiful Lotuses in different vibrant colors using pistachio shells :) Tell me isn't that beautiful.

Some more paper jewelry by Bhumika.

Whenever people around me appreciate and encourage me for my work, it certainly boost my spirit and keeps me going. My biggest inspiration and support is my husband who always encourages me. He is my biggest strength. I love to spend time with my lil' one, other than that I love to cook.

She tried different quilling techniques to make these cute butterflies.
Fantastic artwork Bhumika I must say. For placing orders and to know more about her work visit her Facebook Page 'Paper Passion By Bhumika' and show some love by liking it :)

See you all with a long due post on some DIY project. Stay tuned!!

Fan Of The Week: Shashwatee Raut

First let me share some exciting news for all my lovely readers. I know you all love decorating your homes, so here is a contest and a chance to win gift voucher worth Rs.3000/- for more information click here.
This really cheers me up and keep me going when I receive some sweet notes from fans and readers of my blog. One such reader 'Shashwatee Raut' sent me her very very creative work to share here. Have a look of her DIY projects and beautiful balcony garden. Over to Shashwatee-

Many items in my garden are clay items which I have painted...Tulsi pot, small dog, swan, stool on which I have kept the fountain and the lotus pot.

Small cranes are made of U shaped hair pins and left over M-Seal. The mushrooms are made of plaster of Paris and body of a Reynolds pen (white body)...I have used egg shells as mould to give the mushroom shape. The small insect is made of a plastic ball. The bells are made of Chai ke kulhad!!!

This is Shashwatee's small but lively and beautiful balcony garden.

These five hanging pots are just rabdi handis which I have painted :)
They look so vibrant and enhance the beauty of her small balcony garden.

Small pot in below image is made of paper clay...and I have placed an artificial plant in it as I can't water it......and the lotus like pink flower is made of pistachio shells.
That lotus looks so real . Pot and butterflies are adding character to the space.

The nest in below image is made of coconut coir...I tried to make it as real as possible but......it became like this.
Now who will going to believe this that nest isn't real.

I have made the pen stand with a rejected glass on which there was a crack...by simply pouring candle drops on it..then painted with fabric colour.
That's creativity at it's best.
And the tablas are made of coconut shell..
Two creations are inspired from yours..
This is beautiful and she has done great job. You can find these two tutorials here and here.

Thanks a lot Shashwatee for sharing your passion for art and craft here on Design Decor & Disha.
What say friends. Isn't everything just fabulous. Everything that she made tells a story of her creative imaginations. What do you think.....just let her know through your comments :)

If you also have something to share please feel free to write me at designdecoranddisha@gmail.com!!
Stay tuned to meet Inspiring Eminent Artist of this month :)
